Jürgen Augusteyns (°Ghent, 1972), is a Belgian guitarist/composer.

Mainly focusing on genre crossing/blending solo-guitar work, he’s

been developing a distinct, recognisable style influenced by guitarists such as Loren Connors, Chris Forsyth, Mick Turner and Marisa Anderson but also musicians and bands by the likes of Glenn Branca, Oren Ambarchi and Six organs of admittance, to name a few.

Instant composing is the common thread in both his recordings and live performances, often making use of minimalist structures and repetitive patterns.

He collaborated with Eric Thielemans, Karen Willems, Joachim Badenhorst, Rodrigo Fuentealba Palavicino, Nicolas Rombouts, Joao Lobo, Teuk Henri, Nils Vermeulen, Mauro Pawlowksi, Anke Verslype, Takashi Masubushi amongst others.

Ben Van Houdt is a Belgian musician releasing solo work as SITKA since 2015. Inspired by the sound of tape machines and reel to reel recorders, manipulated guitar textures stutter and distort through layers of runaway loops and broken sounds. Crippled oscillators surface hissing and blaring along steady streams of faded noise, echoing a withered image of decay.

Jef Mertens is a filmmaker-turned-musician and records under his own name and Many Chants a Trapped Secret. Most of his music is recorded during improvisations or music in 1 take. For this show he will be playing Taishogoto, a new instrument acquired from Japan.
